NOTICE TO BIDDERS

 

TOWNSHIP OF LONG HILL

 

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Township Clerk of the Township of Long Hill in the County of Morris, State of New Jersey, in the Township Committee Meeting Room located in the Municipal Building at 915 Valley Road, Gillette, New Jersey on  June 16, 2010 at 10 am., prevailing time, and at that time and place publicly opened and read for the

 

Greenwood Drive Resurfacing.

 

The work to be performed under this contract includes milling and resurfacing of Greenwood Drive.  It is estimated that approximately 2,163 tons of Hot Mix Asphalt and 15,000 S.Y. of milling, and other drainage improvements incidental to the project will be required for completion of the project.

 

Plans and specifications and proposal forms are on file and open to public inspection at the Township Administrator's Office and may be obtained at the office of the Township Engineer at 180 Main Street, Chester, New Jersey, (908) 879-6209, between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, prevailing time, Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays, upon payment of $75.00, payable to Ferriero Engineering, Inc., said sum not refundable, beginning on May 18, 2010.

 

Each bid must be made on the prescribed forms furnished with the Contract Drawings and Specifications, including Non-collusion Affidavit, and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond of not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount bid, and not to exceed $20,000.00.  Bids may be submitted by mail, but will be considered only if received on or before such date and time.

 

Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of PL 1975, c.127 (NJAC 17:27), and PL 1977, c.33.  Bidders are required to comply with the New Jersey Business Registration Certificate Law, P.L. 2004,c. 57.  Bidders are required to comply with the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, P.L. 1999,c. 238.

 

The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive immaterial informalities, and/or to accept the bid which, in the opinion of the Township, will be in the best interest of the Township, all in accordance with the New Jersey Public Contract Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et. seq.
