BOARD OF DIRECTORS 2009-2010

Rev. Msgr. Patrick Brown Reverend Monsignor Brown has served as the Pastor of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church since 1992. He received his Masters of Theology from the Immaculate Conception Seminary – Seton Hall University in 1978 and. Father Pat was appointed Chaplain of the Morris County Jail in 1983, where he continues to serve is also Chaplain of the Long Hill Township Police Department; the Morris County Sheriff’s Department, and the Morris County Police & Fire Academy.

For the last 22 years he has served on the Morris County Board of Social Services and currently serves on the Diocesan School Subsidy Committee, and Priest Moderator of the Diocesan Federation of Home & School Associations; Trustee of St. Elizabeth’s Academy, Convent Station; the Assumption College, Mendham; Catholic Charities in the Diocese of Paterson; the Board of Advisors of the Legal Center for the Defense of Life; and in September 2004 was named to the Board of Visitors at the Seton Hall University Law School. In 2006, he was appointed to the committee for the Advancement of Catholic Education by Bishop Serratelli, and was also appointed as his representative to the Tri County Scholarship Fund Committee.
Paula Connor Paula joined the Lounsberry Board in 2007. She lived in California and Japan prior to arriving in New Jersey. Paula is an educator who retired in 2000 after over 35 years of teaching and supervising programs from the kindergarten level through adult education. She is a member of the Long Hill Senior Citizens, a volunteer at the Grace Lutheran Church Homeless Center in Dover, and a past member of the Morris County Mental Health Board and New Jersey State Voter Registration Commission.

Paula has B.A. and M.A in Education and Supervision from the University of Southern California. She and her husband, Chris, moved to Long Hill in 1970. They have been married 48 years and have three children and two grandchildren.

Nan Harrington, Township Committee Rep Nan is currently the Deputy Mayor of Long Hill. She has been on the Lounsberry Board since becoming a member of the Township Committee in 2009. community service includes 10 years on the Long Hill Board of Education (with 4 years as President and 2 years as Vice President), 3 years on the Watchung Hills Regional Board of Education, and 3 years as a member of the Board of Directors for FORCE, the Long Hill Education Foundation. She is currently employed as a Business Process Analyst for AT&T Labs in Florham Park, NJ. Nan holds a BA in Mathematics from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA and an MS in Operations Research from Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA.

Nan and her husband, Dorsey, have lived in Gillette for 24 years, and have 2 daughters, Rebecca and Amelia.
Dan McGuire Dan joined the board in 2006. He is the Director of Housing for Homeless Solutions, Inc., a nonprofit organization in Morristown that runs the largest shelter in the county. He is in charge of developing and managing award-winning affordable rental housing in and around Morris County. Dan’s last ten years in the nonprofit housing sector are complimented by a prior decade of private sector environmental/engineering experience. He has a BA from Kenyon College and a Masters degree in City & Regional Planning from the Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University.

Dan and his wife, Meredith, moved to Stirling in 1996. Their family now includes daughters Aidan and Elowen.
Claudia Mott Ms. Mott spent 13 years on Wall Street covering the small-cap segment of the stock market for Prudential Securities. She was named to the Institutional Investor All-Star Team for nine consecutive years and was the top-ranked small-cap analyst for eight years. Her investment research has been published in the Financial Analyst’s Journal and in a number of books on Small-Cap investing. After taking a few years off to raise her three children, she returned to Fairleigh Dickenson to complete the coursework to become a Certified Financial Planner™. Having successfully passed the exam in November of 2009, she works part time for a financial planner in Morristown. Claudia is currently working on her Certified Divorce Financial Analyst certification. Ms. Mott graduated cum laude from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelors Degree in Organizational Behavior and has an MBA from Boston University.

Claudia and her children Jeffery, Andrew and Emily have lived in both the Meyersville and Millington sections of Long Hill over the past 16 years. Claudia also works part time at Lord Stirling Stables where she enjoys caring for the horses.
Charles Phelan Chuck served three years in the US Army, after which he earned his BSEE at Penn State and his LLB at George Washington University Law School. He worked over forty years in the intellectual property law field, both corporate and private. The transition to full retirement came in about 1995, and various volunteer activities have occupied him since then. Such activities included, e.g., the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, talking book machine reconditioning, computer reconditioning for educational programs, braille writer machine repair, volunteer fire fighting, and Lounsberry Meadow Board of Trustees service.

Chuck and wife René have resided in Long Hill Township since 1956. They have been married 61 years and have been blessed with three daughters, seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Karen Nyquist Karen was appointed to the Board of Trustees this year. Born and raised in New York, she moved to Jersey in 1969. After a brief time in Arlington, Virginia, she returned to Jersey and moved to Long Hill in 1988. Several years ago she retired after 28 years with Lucent Technologies. Karen is an active parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul and works part-time at the school there. In 2009, she ended an 11 year stint with the Long Hill Board of Education and after a year off is returning to that Board this year for a 3 year term.

Karen has a BA in mathematics from the College of Mt. St. Vincent in New York, a MS in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh, and an MBA from Rutgers. She has a son, Andrew, who is in school in Illinois, 3 step-children and 4 grandchildren.
Ann Thoms Anne has been a member of the Lounsberry Trustees since the late 1990s. Her work experience includes being a principal in a regional accounting firm for many years. Later she was a controller at an international semiconductor company, and then a warehouse and trucking company in New Jersey. She currently continues a private tax practice. Anne is a lifelong resident of Stirling.
