THE RECREATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE

The Recreation Advisory Committee meets the 2nd Monday of every month at 7pm at Town Hall. The meetings are open to the public and suggestions are always welcome.

The Recreation Advisory Committee is a group of township volunteers appointed by the Mayor for a 5 year term. Some of their annual events are: The Halloween Parade, The Stirling Lake Beach Dances, The Memorial Day Town Picnic and Stirling Lake Open House, and the Spring Egg Hunt. Their duties as per Township Ordinance include: (a) Recommend a recreation program, including special events, to the Township Committee; (b) Coordinate with independent recreation groups such as Little League, soccer, advise Planning Board regarding recreational facilities; (c) Other duties as assigned by the Township Committee.
