Note: Registration / Flyers are handed in at the door along with $5. No one can pre-register for the event, and there is no online registration for this event. (Exact Change is always appreciated!!!!)

Each year, the Long Hill Township Recreation Advisory Committee holds two dances: one at the end of the school year in June, and one at the beginning of the school year in September.
The June Dance is for Long Hill Students in Grades 5, 6, 7.
The September Dance is for Long Hill Students in Grades 6, 7, 8.
All Dances are held at Stirling Lake on the Beach. They are held between the hours of 7:30pm - 9:30pm. There is a DJ to keep the crowd engaged, and light refreshments are served. Absolutely no one is permitted to attend without a signed permission slip. It's a fun social night for the kids.
There is absolutely no swimming allowed. Improper behavior will not be tolerated, and parents may be asked to pick up their child early in the event he/she misbehaves. Students may also be prevented from attending future dances at the discretion of the Recreation Advisory Committee.
There is a fee of $5 per student to attend.

In case a dance needs to canceled due to Inclement Weather, please check the website and/or LHTV for announcements.
Drop Off and Dismissal Procedures
STIRLING LAKE DANCE
DROP-OFF & PICK-UP PROCEDURES
DROP – OFF PROCEDURE - Children can be dropped off at Stirling Lake after 7:20pm.
Chestnut St. will be closed at 7pm. Please proceed to High St. (from Central Ave.), make a right onto Maple Ave to the Lake entrance next to the guard house. Please exit via Chestnut St to Central Ave.
· Remember: Each participant must have a completed registration form signed by a parent with
the $5.00 fee to enter the Lake Dance. Forms are available on the Twp. Website www.longhillnj.us under Parks and Recreation, Lake Dances.
If a child does not have a form, forms will be available the night of the Lake Dance.
Parents must accompany the child to a registration table to complete & sign the form.
Under these circumstances we ask parents to park in the Lake parking lot off of High St. and walk in to complete form and submit the $5.00 fee.
DISMISSAL (Pick-up) PROCEDURE – Begins @ 9:30pm
* Please …
1. Confirm pick-up arrangements with your child and other parents prior to the event.
2. No child can leave the dance prior to 9:30pm without a parent/guardian.
3. If need to pick-up your child early please park in the Lake lot and walk in.
4. For safety reasons--absolutely no one will be permitted to bike or walk home.
For the Car Line:
*Do not arrive prior to 9:15pm
*Enter from High St., right turn onto Maple Ave.
* Keep your vehicle to right of the roadway.
*Remain in your car and proceed in an orderly fashion.
*Give the name(s) of the individual(s) you are picking up for the Recreation Representative to announce.
*Proceed to the pick-up area, stay in your car and have doors unlocked, ready to open!!!
*Once all are in the vehicle, proceed out Chestnut St. to Central Ave.
*PLEASE NOTE: If you would prefer not to wait in this car line for pick-up, please come into the lake parking lot off of High St. Please park and come down the path to pick up your child. A Recreation Dept. representative will be at the entrance to assist you.
We ask for your cooperation and patience with this procedure, and please follow all traffic rules & directions. The whole procedure may take up to ½ hour, but we have adopted this procedure in an effort to make sure everyone gets home safely.
