Police cars with decalsIn 1985, the Long Hill Township Police Department was the FIRST police department in New Jersey to be accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).  Following previous accreditation in 2001, on March 20, 2004 the Long Hill Township Police Department was again awarded National Accreditation status by CALEA.  The Long Hill Township Police Department has always strived to maintain a level of superior law enforcement professionalism and dedication to duty and service.  We believe participation in this process will help us to better serve our community and the public.

The Long Hill Police Department was recognized as the Best Dressed Police Department (under 200 Officers) in 2000 by Law and Order Magazine.  This Department also won this coveted award in 1987 and 1999.  The men and women of the Long Hill Police Department are dedicated professionals who take great pride in their appearance and the services rendered to the residents of Long Hill Township.
